Amsterdam School - Cupboard - Wood, Glass

An Art Deco style oak cabinet or small sideboard, dating from the 1920s or 1930s. Furniture Features Style: Art Deco or Amsterdam School, which emphasizes symmetrical, clean lines and functional yet ornate design, in contrast to the earlier, more curvy Art Nouveau style. Material: Made of oak with a distinctive wood grain. Design: Has a single drawer and a small cabinet section below. The raised, elongated panel on the door and the distinctive black handles (probably ebonized wood or vinyl) are typical of this period. There is a thick polished glass plate on top, which is an extremely good solution because there would be no glass marks or signs of use on the top, underneath there is a hand-sewn lace decoration that we left in because it was purchased that way, and the glass is so well-matched that we didn't want to take it out for the photos. It is not glued, you can take out the lace or put in another one.It is in absolutely impeccable condition, nicely cleaned and a beautiful rare piece. We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
