Description from the seller
Refined lot containing two decorative vases in clear solid crystal, signed Daum France, produced in the 1950s–1960s (an emblematic era of stylistic renewal at Daum, with free-form shapes inspired by nature and French mid-century design).
The large vase adopts a sinuous silhouette, either wave-like or a stylized horn of plenty, very graphic; the small one is a miniature gadrooned corolla, evoking an open flower.
Engraved with the “Daum France” signature (an authentic period signature, visible at the base).
Dimensions – the Great (1950s/60s):
Height: 19 cm
- Maximum width: 19 cm
- Thickness/depth: 10.5 cm
- Weight: 1,200 kg (thick and dense crystal, exceptional quality)
Dimensions – the small:
Height: 9 cm
- Top diameter: 8 cm
- Weight: 400 g
- Good overall condition for vintage parts 65-75 years old.
- Large vase: Some light internal scratches/scuffs (normal signs of wear), no chips or cracks; beautiful shine preserved.
- Small vase: In good condition with some superficial signs of wear due to age (micro-scratches), no chips or breaks.
No structural defects; exterior surfaces are smooth and glossy.
Daum, the crystal glassworks of Nancy, is globally renowned for its carved crystal and its artistic creations from the 1950s and 1960s, often compared to those of Lalique or Schneider for their fluidity and modernity. These two pieces form a harmonious and timeless duo.
Faithful and detailed photos (all sides, engravings, reflections, interior) – sold as is, with no restoration or aggressive cleaning.
Reinforced packaging and highly secure shipping are mandatory (fragile and heavy parts).
A great opportunity for two authentic French crystal sculptures from the 1950s-1960s, perfect for a collection or mid-century chic décor!
