McIntosh - MAC 4100 - Recapped - RARE - 220V Solid state stereo receiver

This particular unit has been fully serviced in June 2025. The power amplifier section has been rebuilt and recalibrated, and the entire device has been tested and aligned where necessary. The front has 0 scratches and can be called mint. It has also been professionally converted for operation on 230-volt mains power, meaning no external step-down converter is required. Due to this conversion, the original voltage selectors are no longer active. Notable features of this unit • Fully professionally serviced • Rebuilt and recalibrated power amplifier section • Internal 110 to 230 V conversion (no external transformer required) • Original voltage selectors disabled (automatic mains power configuration) • All functions tested and operational: tuner, phono, filters, amplification and Power Guard • Technically 100% sound and ready for immediate use Technical specs: • Output power: 2 × 75 W RMS @ 8 ohms, 2 × 100 W RMS @ 4 ohms • Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): 0.05% • Damping factor: ≥ 30 • Frequency response: 20 Hz – 20 kHz (±0 dB to –0.5 dB) • Phono input (MM): 2 mV sensitivity, 47 kΩ / 87 pF, S/N ratio: 80 dB • Aux / Tuner / Tape inputs: 250 mV sensitivity, S/N ratio: 90 dB • Pre-out: 250 mV • Equalizer: 5-band, ±12 dB • Tone controls: Bass, Mid, Treble (each ±12 dB) • Filters: High and Low Cut, Loudness, Mono/Stereo switching • Tuner: AM/FM with mute, AFC, MPX, signal-strength and stereo indicators • Connections: 2 × phono inputs, tuner-in, aux-in, tape 1 & 2 (in/out), pre-out, headphone • Speaker outputs: A, B and C (supports 2 to 8 ohms) • Mains power: internally converted to 230 V, 50 Hz • Dimensions (W × H × D): 47.3 × 16.5 × 39.4 cm • Differential IC phono stage with extremely low noise and high accuracy • Fully FET-controlled input switching (no audible clicks when switching) • Power Guard waveform-comparator system to prevent clipping and overload • Sentry Monitor protection against thermal or electrical damage • 5-band programmable equalizer (30, 150, 500, 1500 and 10,000 Hz, ±12 dB) • Variable loudness with flat and Fletcher–Munson correction modes • Automatic speaker-delay at power-on (prevents turn-on thumps) • Precise analog level meters and tuning indicators Shipping and pick-up both possible. We have shipped things like this many times, also will be ensuranced.
