Splendido porta reliquie in osso e legno di bosso, manifattura dell’Italia centro-settentrionale, XIX secolo.
Presenta un fusto raffinato in osso tornito, base in noce di Corozo intagliata a motivi circolari e la parte alta, destinata a contenere la reliquia, presenta un rosone traforato in osso e un coperchio posteriore, con apertura a vite, sempre realizzato in bosso traforato.
Il tutto coronato da una croce in osso intagliato.
La raffinatezza di questi intagli su questo oggetto di piccolissime dimensioni ne fanno un esemplare di raro pregio.
Le condizioni sono tutto sommato buone, ma vanno evidenziate minime sbeccature alla base del fusto in osso e sul perimetro del rosone in osso, oltre a una lieve mancanza nei raggi laterali (magnificamente lavorati) del porta reliquie.
Oggetto di rara raffinatezza e qualità.
