Gan-Erdene Tsend, born in 1979 in Mongolia, currently lives and works in Germany. In his fascinating, detailed visual worlds, he uniquely combines the vastness and symbolism of his Mongolian heritage with urban impressions from Europe. Reflections, shadows, and poetic figures create an atmosphere between dream and reality. Tsend studied art in Ulaanbaatar and Münster, where he became a master student, and today he is considered one of the most exciting figures in contemporary figurative painting.
