On one side of the cap we find two enameled metal pieces with the two characteristic symbols of Alfa Romeo: The four-leaf clover and the brand's shield.

The Alfa Romeo "cloverleaf," or Quadrifoglio, is the symbol of Alfa Romeo's highest-performance line of vehicles. The emblem originated with racing driver Hugo Sivocci, who in 1923 painted a green four-leaf clover on his car for good luck before winning the Targa Florio race. After his tragic death, the cloverleaf became a tribute to him and a symbol of the brand's sports and racing cars.
The Alfa Romeo logo combines the red cross on a white background, which is the flag of Milan, with the Biscione, a snake that devours a man and symbol of the Visconti family, founders of the brand.
