Provenance: from the Nijhoffs' library.

18 Poems was Thomas's first collection of poetry, the winner of a contest sponsored by the 'Sunday Referee' in 1934. It contains the poem, 'The force that through the green fuse drives the flower' which, with its distinctive style, cemented his reputation as a poet.
