Unknown - Book of Hours - 1506

A genuine Renaissance Book of Hours leaf, printed on animal vellum and enhanced with contemporary hand illumination, originating from Paris (Use of Rome), circa 1506. The leaf is printed in black ink in gothic type, with hand-applied illuminated initials in blue and gold, rubrication in red, and decorative marginal elements. The combination of printing with hand illumination reflects early 16th-century devotional book production, bridging manuscript and print traditions. Text includes Psalms (Psalms 109, 112 & 121 – Vulgate numbering; KJV 110, 113 & 122). The leaf has been preserved in a framed presentation for display purposes and has not been removed from the frame since acquisition. Size: 17 cm X 10.5 cm (leaf), 37 cm X 30 cm (frame)
