Silver bonbonnière with a decorated lid – Italy, mid-20th century
Circular silver table box, featuring a bulging body and a slightly convex lid.
The outer surface features a hammered/satin finish, with raised decorative appliqués in a floral motif arranged on the lid and a central knob molded in the shape of a flower.
The edge is finished with a smooth, polished band that creates an elegant contrast with the more textured surface of the body. The interior is smooth, with normal signs of use compatible with the function and age of the object.
In terms of type, dimensions and decorative style, the object is attributable to an Italian production from the mid-20th century, intended for use as a bonbonnière, a sugar box, or a table container.
