~Megalodon-tand uit het Mioceen – Noord-Carolina, VS
Deze indrukwekkende Megalodon-tand is afkomstig uit de Verenigde Staten, waar fossielen als deze direct op de zeebodem worden gevonden. Dit zorgt voor een prachtig robuust uiterlijk en een authentieke, “geleefde” uitstraling – puur natuur.



In vergelijking met fossielen uit andere vindplaatsen, zoals Indonesië, staan USA-tanden bekend om hun solide, sterke wortels en hoge mate van originaliteit. Indonesische tanden kunnen soms scherpere serraties en een gladdere enamel vertonen door het type sediment waarin ze gevonden worden, maar zijn ook vaker gerestaureerd of zelfs gedeeltelijk gereconstrueerd. In de VS is restauratie veel minder gebruikelijk, waardoor de meeste vondsten – zoals dit exemplaar – volledig authentiek zijn gebleven.

Deze tand is 100% origineel en niet gerestaureerd, met een krachtige wortel en fraaie natuurlijke details. Een bijzonder en eerlijk stuk voor de serieuze verzamelaar die waarde hecht aan authenticiteit.
