A finely painted famille rose porcelain dish with a lobed rim, dating to the late Qing dynasty (c. 1880–1910). The dish is decorated in the Canton / famille rose style with multiple reserve panels featuring court ladies in palace interiors, alternating with panels of flowers, butterflies, and birds on a dense green scrollwork background.
The enamels are bright and delicately applied in rich pink, green, and iron-red tones, enhanced with gilt highlights.
Such pieces were popular in southern China and widely exported during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, admired for their vibrant palette and elaborate decoration.
