Tabletop ashtray shaped like a flower with detachable petals – S. Agudo, patented design, the 1960s.

Elegant mid-20th-century design piece, made of silver-plated metal, shaped as a naturalistic flower on a stem with leaves.
The set is made up of detachable petals, each designed as an individual ashtray, which makes the piece an original functional and decorative object.
Stamped on one of the leaves “S. AGUDO – PATENT,” which certifies the registered design of the Spanish workshop S. Agudo, active during the 1950s–70s. This type of piece was common in salons and social gatherings of the era, and today it is highly valued within mid-century design.
The flower, with an approximate diameter of 20 cm, features meticulous relief work on the petals and leaves, with textured details and decorative stamens. It preserves a nice patina appropriate to its age.
The size of this piece is greater than most attributed to the same author, which gives it special value.
