Mercedes-Benz 320SL (R129), 1996, blue, automatic petrol, 3200cc, 200 HP, 175000 miles, matching numbers and colours, with service history and original booklets, American title, located in the Netherlands.
Description from the seller
General
Mercedes-Benz 320 SL (R129) finished in a beautiful and rare blue color. This stylish roadster is in neat and well-maintained condition and comes with all original books and a Clean Carfax report with 36 service records. Originating from Arizona (Snowbird car, titled in Iowa).
Bodywork & Paint Shop
The paintwork is original and neat, with here and there a few light signs of wear and some stone chips on the front (see photos). The car is equipped with both a hardtop and a very nice soft top.
Technical
The engine runs nicely, shifts smoothly, and the car drives as it should. The soft top is currently operated manually; in the United States it functioned hydraulically. The hydraulic system shows no leaks, presumably a cycle reset is necessary. The car sits on original alloy wheels with very good tires, and under the hood everything is also very neat and tidy. Because the car has hardly been used in recent years, a maintenance service may be desirable.
INTERIOR:
The interior is in very neat and original condition. The trunk space is clean and well maintained, and the spare wheel is still new and factory-fitted.
Documents
The car is offered with an American title and is not yet approved for public roads. All original manuals are available, as well as a complete maintenance history and a Clean Carfax report. All import and VAT costs have been paid.
This is a car including 21% VAT.
AFHALING
The car can be viewed and, if desired, picked up in Damwoude, the Netherlands. Transport throughout Europe is available.
Other Information
Given the age of around 30 years, there is always room for further improvement. We strive to describe our cars as honestly and accurately as possible, but they are still used vehicles. If in doubt, we warmly invite you to come and view the car in person. The photos are part of this description.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
