Wm. Maxwell 100% Malt Scotch Whisky – 5 Years Old – Vintage Bottle with Original Box

Offered is a Wm. Maxwell 100% Malt Scotch Whisky, 5 Years Old, distilled and bottled in Scotland by Wm. Maxwell (Scotch Whisky) Ltd., Edinburgh, established 1796.
The lot includes the original cardboard presentation box, making it a complete vintage set.

The bottle retains its original screw cap, wax-sealed Italian import strip, and original labels, all consistent with mid-20th-century export bottlings for the Italian market.

Dating
This bottle can be dated based on several clear elements:
	•	Italian import strip seal with pre-metric and pre-modern tax layout
	•	Label wording “100% Malt Scotch Whisky” (a term commonly used before modern single malt regulations)
	•	Alcohol strength expressed as 43° (older continental notation)
	•	Importer listed as ITALIMPORT S.A.S. – Milano

 These features place the bottling in the 1960s, most likely mid to late 1960s.

Condition
	•	Bottle: very good vintage condition
	•	Fill level: high, well-preserved for its age
	•	Label: original, with visible aging and patina
	•	Cap & seal: original, unbroken, with natural wax deterioration
	•	Box: original, showing wear, edge damage, and aging consistent with storage

This is a true vintage Scotch whisky, not a modern release, and a rare example of early continental-market malt whisky presentation.
