Description from the seller

Pair of shuttles for an industrial weaving loom.
– Italy, first half of the 19th century
– wood and metal tips (65 cm each)

We propose an extraordinary pair of antique weaving loom shuttles, authentic working tools dating from the first half of the 19th century in Italy, today perfectly readable as objects of industrial design avant la lettre.
Made of solid wood with a splendid original patina, they feature metal-tipped points and a tapered, essential shape that is incredibly powerful aesthetically. It is precisely this “industrial” origin that makes them incredibly current: objects born for function and efficiency that, over time, become modern decorative complements of great value, perfect in a contemporary, minimalist, or loft-style interior.
Inside are still kept the original spools, a rare and fascinating detail that enhances its authenticity and collectible value. They can therefore also be described as spools/shuttles from an industrial weaving loom.

• Type: loom shuttles / weaving pirns
• Era: first half of the 1800s
Origin: Italy
• Materials: wood with metal tips
• Length: about 65 cm each
Quantity: pair (2 pieces)

Good overall condition, with signs of wear matching the age and use, which enhance the patina and authenticity (as shown in the photographs).
Proper packaging and traceable shipping throughout Europe.
