Description from the seller
Decorative Danish mid-century design set, consisting of a large teak mouse by the manufacturer H+F (Denmark) and a small matching mouse from possibly the same manufacturer, and they were not always signed.
This charming set perfectly reflects the playful and artisanal character of Danish-Scandinavian design from the 1950s–1960s. A collectible Danish decorative object for the shelf, desks, and display cabinets.
The large and small mice are made from solid Teak and finished with leather ears and a leather tail. The organically shaped body, warm wood tone, and minimal details are typical of Danish modernism from this period.
The small mouse is also of Danish origin and nicely complements the large mouse in terms of style and material. Although it is not attributed to H+F, together with the large mouse it forms a decorative and narrative whole.
These charming pieces are both made from rich, warm teak wood, with charming black glass bead eyes and contrasting leather tails and ears. With handmade details, they add a touch of artistry and quality.
Dimensions
Large mouse: H 15 cm x L 18 cm x D 11.5 cm
Small mouse: H 2.4 cm x L 8.0 cm x D 2.6 cm
Total weight: 691 grams
Well-preserved vintage condition with a beautiful natural patina; leather parts intact. No cracks or restorations observed. They are shipped with smart shipping, securely packaged, registered, and insured.
