The Baluch carpets (also Belutsch) originate from a nomadic ethnic group from the Baluchistan region, a border area between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Due to their tribal origin, the carpets are typically smaller because of the high transport needs, feature geometric patterns or stylized floral motifs, and are hand-knotted.
