West Germany Scheurich Vase - W.Germany - Scheurich - Vase - H. 32 cm - Ceramic

Germany (West Germany), circa 1960s–1970s A vase from West German studio ceramics, produced by Scheurich Keramik, one of the leading manufacturers of contemporary ceramic design in post-war Germany. The vase has a tall cylindrical shape with a slightly stepped neck and a strong architectural silhouette typical of Fat Lava and mid-century modern ceramics. The surface of the vase is covered with a textured volcanic black glaze, framing a bright red strip of lava glaze that contrasts with the warm ochre-beige background. The thick, glossy lava glaze has characteristic bubbles and a dripping effect, creating depth and visual intensity. This bold colour contrast and tactile surface are emblematic of Scheurich's experimental work with glazes during that period. The base is stamped SCHEURICH Height 32 cm Secure packaging with tracking number.
