Jan Schoneveld (1949-2016) "Nudo"

Schoneveld developed a passion for art, and especially painting, from childhood, starting with drawings of women and clothing.
After graduating from the Academy of Couture in Rotterdam, he spent a year working in Paris.
Back in the Netherlands he first worked for several clothing companies, then decided to open his own studio and to further his training by taking for several seasons a course in figure and nude painting at SKVR (Rotterdam Foundation for Artistic Drawing).
He specialized mainly in watercolor, but he also worked with acrylics and oils.
His main source of inspiration was human movement and anatomy, which he rendered in an expressionistic and realistic style.
