Floor lamp - Bronze

A highly decorative bronze table lamp, crafted in the shape of a classical urn with richly detailed relief decorations. The lamp is surrounded all around by figures and ornaments that refer to classical antiquity, including standing figures, sacrifice and temple scenes, and graceful foliate motifs. On both sides there are beautifully designed handles with bird heads.

The lamp stands on a heavy, square base and has a substantial mass, indicating a solid and high-quality construction. The surface shows a natural patina consistent with its age.

The object is made of bronze and weighs about 7 kg, indicating a solid cast piece rather than a thin alloy. The lamp was later electrified and fitted with a socket.
