Description from the seller
This 80 cm high pedestal features a minimalist and elegant design, combining noble materials with clean lines and balanced proportions.
Base: a prism-block of travertine marble, monolithic and vertical, with visible natural veins in beige and sand tones. The finish appears polished matte or satin, which enhances the natural texture of the stone and provides visual and structural solidity.
Structural element: at the top emerges a discreet and functional iron piece, acting as a support. Its dark finish contrasts with the clarity of the travertine and reinforces the contemporary character of the ensemble.
Top surface: a transparent glass panel, of notable thickness, perfectly cut and resting on the metal structure. The glass adds visual lightness, allowing the pedestal form to be seen and avoiding that the set feels heavy.
Taken together, it is a sober, sculptural and timeless piece, ideal as an exhibiting pedestal, side table, plant stand, sculptures, or decorative support in modern or refined classical interiors. The combination of natural stone, metal, and glass conveys a balance between robustness and lightness, with a clear architectural vocation.
Contemporary design (main)
Straight lines, pure geometry and total absence of ornamentation.
Use of glass and iron in a functional and visible way.
Architectural and minimalist approach, typical of current design.
Classical / Mediterranean influence
Travertine marble directly recalls Roman and classical architecture, but here it is reinterpreted without capitals, moldings, or decoration.
