Edwardian sterling silver cigarette case, London, 1900. Hammered finish with plain cartouche. Fully hallmarked with lion passant, leopard’s head, and date letter e. Maker’s mark SM&Co, for Samson Mordan & Co. Gilt interior with original elastic retaining straps. Hinged lid closes well. Fine example of early 20th-century English gentleman’s silver.
