Bruichladdich Islay Barley, an 8-year-old single malt distilled in 2012 on Islay, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70 cl bottle from Scotland with original packaging.
Description from the seller
Colour: Apricot.
Nose: A whisky of striking freshness and purity. A veritable parade of aromas rises from the glass. First come notes of citrus and honey, followed by stone fruits, dried apricot and ripe peaches. Gentle hints of marzipan, yellow flowers and vanilla pods give way to wafts of spice, cereals and sea breeze. Gradually, the oak releases aromas of vanilla, crème brûlée, caramel and woody spices. Subtle touches of syrup and cinnamon- and ginger-spiced biscuit complete the picture, making the mouth water.
Palate: Oak maturation exquisitely enhances the fruity notes of this whisky, whose delicate sweetness and silky texture coat the palate like velvet. The balance between the sweet flavours of ripe stone fruits, vanilla, caramel and brown sugar is impeccable. Bottled at the ideal moment, this Islay Barley cuvée captures the very essence of our island. With a drop of water, the natural oils of its ingredients react, releasing beautiful floral notes of hawthorn and heather, adding further complexity and depth to this remarkable single malt.
Finish: The finish reflects the quality of the distillation. Subtle maritime flavours, combined with sweet notes of citrus and oak-derived honey, speak to the history and origin of our whisky. A natural whisky, non-chill filtered, delivering a long, pleasurable and here, unforgettable finish.
