With an overall length of 22.8 mm, almost as wide as the diameter of a 100-yen coin, it weighs only about 125 g.
When mounted on an interchangeable lens camera with an APS-C size CMOS sensor, the focal length image is approximately 38mm, a natural angle of view close to that of human appearance.
A minimum focusing distance of 0.16 m is achieved, allowing photographers to get as close as approximately 9 cm from the lens on the surface.
A maximum magnification of 0.27x is achieved, making the lens powerful for table photos of food, desserts, and other small objects close at hand.
The optical design of 6 elements in 5 groups, including a glass-molded aspherical lens, achieves a compact and lightweight design while providing high image quality and brightness with a maximum aperture value of F2.8.
