Description from the seller

A distinctive decorative object in the shape of a duck, made from solid brass. This piece consists of a bowl with a perfectly fitting lid, with the duck head serving as the handle. The whole piece is nicely designed, featuring engraved details on the plumage that point to skilled craftsmanship.

The style and craftsmanship suggest that this object probably dates to the Art Deco to early Mid-Century period (roughly the 1930s to the 1950s). Such matching tureens and bowls were produced mainly in France and Italy, often as luxurious table decorations or as eye-catching pieces for a buffet or display cabinet.

The item is in good, original condition with a beautiful, warm patina that suits its age. Minor signs of use and superficial scratches are present, which contribute to the authenticity and charm of this vintage item. No breaks or repairs were detected.

A distinctive and collectible piece that can be used both decoratively and functionally, and fits perfectly into an Art Deco, eclectic, or vintage interior.
