AMA • Pope (1985) presents 'Aurora Flip - Aliexpress', a resin sculpture-lamp in argent colour, 20 cm high, 9 cm wide and 9 cm deep, edition 1/20, dated 2025, hand-signed, made in France.
Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) – " Aurora Flip " – Aliexpress - 1/20
When value is manufactured... and then resold.
After Aurora Borealis, Aurora Original Counterfeit, Aurora Authentic Fake, Aurora Get Rich… AMA continues its ironic exploration of modern mechanisms: desire, perceived value, branding, and resale as a contemporary religion.
With 'Aurora Flip', the message no longer hides itself: it is read by turning the object.
On the wooden base, the slogan becomes evident:
BUY LOW
SELL HIGH
A simple, raw creed, almost promotional.
The word "Flip" sums it all up: buy, return, resell — and in between, craft a story, an aura, an illusion of rarity.
Here, this logic is frozen in a sculpture-lamp: a chromed, mirror-like and holographic figure that captures light and decomposes it into “aurora” — as if the promise of profit were transformed into spectacle.
By day: a mirror icon, bright, almost clinical.
At night: an aurora borealis of reflections and sparkles, immersive, fascinating, almost “too beautiful” to be innocent.
A deliberate contrast: spectacle on one side, truth on the other.
Limited edition of 20 pieces for 2025, signed, numbered, and delivered with an AMA certificate of authenticity.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced cardboard) with signature on delivery.
Features :
- 7 bright colors
- 3 diffusion modes (fixed, crossfades, simple transitions)
- Power supply via USB cable with switch (provided)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
Depth: 9 cm
Who is AMA?
Born from the fusion of talents of French artist friends, the AMA collective takes you into its universe blending vibrant colors and diverse materials.
Sculptures, paintings, and installations, the collective passionately employs a multitude of techniques to bring its works to life.
The AMA collective mainly draws its inspiration from the world around it, but also through currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether for a gift, a keepsake, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, AMA pursues its passion for urban art through street art and pop art creations (limited edition or not), covering a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (bitcoin, ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug abuse, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medications, recycling and upcycling, as well as products from the agro-food and fashion industries (sports, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, AMA likes to playfully reinterpret labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans, and many others.
Dear bidders, our team is making every effort to ensure that all the necessary information for evaluating the lot being sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unjustified claims will be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
