Mini Cooper S Cabrio JCW kit from 2005.
Description from the seller
Beautiful and well-running Mini Cooper S, from 2005, original 1.6-liter 16V engine with a supercharger (that’s why Cooper S), 170 hp and paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The extensive JCW (John Cooper Works) body kit makes the Mini, of course, a real head-turner.
The Mini Cooper S generation R53 is one of the most reliable Mini generations from the BMW era, a 1.6 Chrysler engine paired with a supercharger, a guarantee of reliability and consistent performance. The 2004-2007 generation is one that benefited from very useful developments: a new Getrag transmission with improved gear engagement, a more reliable steering system (addition of a steering fan), a new 3-spoke steering wheel, and the addition of the glove compartment. Starts, runs, shifts, and stops well, like new.
documents
It has a valid MOT until October 10, 2026. The car was newly delivered in Germany, and came to the Netherlands in 2006, so it has a valid Dutch registration. The car can be delivered (for an additional 50 euros) with EU Export documents, so that a potential foreign new owner can easily register the car in his/her country. A COC / CVO certificate is also possible, for an additional 70 euros.
Bodywork
This Convertible Cooper S has a beautiful, original dark gray metallic color, which Mini aptly calls Dark Silver. As far as rust is concerned, this car is above average in good condition; on the well-known Mini spots (rear hatch, around the taillights, etc.) the car also has no rust. The only signs of use are present, see photos, minor damage at the corner of the rear bumper. The underside is just as neat, really a tidy car. See the photos.
Technical
The Mini has always been well maintained; a maintenance card indicates that in September 2025 the car received a minor service. The previous owner was a car mechanic himself and performed the maintenance himself. Unfortunately, there are no invoices available.
He drives like a pro, a wonderful car to drive. The car starts immediately, pulls well, shifts, steers, and brakes perfectly.
Interior
The car is equipped with a leather interior, a genuine Mini leather sport steering wheel, air conditioning, electric windows and a radio. The electric roof and windows work fine. Standard xenon lights, and neat alloy wheels; see photo.
Transport:
The car is located in Hengevelde, Netherlands, and can of course be picked up here. The car can be delivered within the Netherlands at an additional cost of 150 euros (excluding the Wadden Islands).
The seller can have the car delivered relatively inexpensively across the entire EU by a professional carrier.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
