Antique pendant in yellow gold 19k, weighing 17.43 g, dimensions 5.2 by 3.2 cm, of a medalion/reliquary style with blue enamel and a polychrome oval cabochon showing a female profile, opens to hold a small photograph, origin Portugal, in good condition with some wear.
Description from the seller
An antique pendant in 800 gold (19.2 K), duly authenticated in Portugal, of the medallion/reliquary type, datable to the late 19th century – early 20th century. The frame features meticulous decorative work with blue enamel, well preserved, creating an elegant contrast with the gold.
In the center, an oval cabochon features a female profile image, polychrome, possibly painted enamel, in a style similar to Limoges enamel, typical of the jewelry of the period.
The pendant opens, allowing you to store a small photograph or keepsake inside, which gives it a strong personal and sentimental character.
A piece of great charm and quality, ideal for collectors of antique jewelry or for those seeking a distinctive piece of jewelry with history and authenticity.
