Tripod floor lamp dating from the 1920s–1930s, with a wooden base, cotton and metal parts, rust-coloured metal accents, and an antique-inspired design.
Description from the seller
This wonderful tripod floor lamp, a tented darkroom vintage dating back to the 1920s/30s, is made with a wooden base and metallic accents left in a rust color to preserve its antique character. The lamp consists of a solid brass cylinder and has an internal mechanism made up of a brass pyramid with a mirror. The latter can oscillate or be fixed in place through the side knobs (of fine craftsmanship, in brass) to adjust the light intensity.
Main features
Style: The object has a design that also evokes scientific instruments or antique photographic equipment from the early 1900s, such as tripods for bellows cameras or for telescopes.
Materials: The main structure is wood with metal fittings, and the top part is entirely brass.
Function: Although the design is inspired by old tools, objects like this are commonly sold as interior decorative furnishings, often repurposed into floor lamps.
Details: The central mechanism is visible with the mirror and the lamp hidden underneath; the small imperfections as shown in the photo make this object a true top-of-the-line piece for luxury vintage.
