- Inscriptions: Obverse: BORIS III TSAR OF THE BULGIANS, bust of the king to the left, engraver A. BERAN's signature on the neck. Reverse: 50 LEVA · 1940, surrounded by a crown of ears of grain, oak leaves and roses bound together by a lower ribbon.
- Grade: MS62 (NGC).
50 leva coin featuring a mature portrait of King Boris III facing left, in a realistic and sober style, with good facial modeling and finely detailed hair. The reverse presents a balanced and detailed botanical composition, combining wheat ears, oak leaves, and roses, symbols of prosperity and strength, with the denomination and date clearly centered. The specimen shows well-preserved reliefs, largely clean fields with minor contact marks typical of the grade, and a clear, uniform silver patina that enhances the whole, offering an attractive and solid in-hand presence.
