Gerhard Richter, Foricano (Special Edition), signed in blue pencil, 2023 limited edition offset print in a Schuber, 20.6 × 14.7 cm, USA, in excellent condition with 100 copies, new and unused.
Description from the seller
This special edition, signed by the artist and delivered in a slipcase, was available in a limited run of 100 copies.
Gerhard Richter's latest, facsimile-like artist's book focuses on a single work consisting of twenty-six drawings.
In this new work, Richter combines elements from a limited palette of forms and techniques — twisted lines, broad tonal fields laid down with slanted graphite strokes, and passages with smudges, hatching, and etchings. In this way he fuses choice and chance in an infinitely generative process. The 2023 series on paper encapsulates and refines the fundamental principles that have consistently shaped Richter's artistic journey. Reproduced in its original format, the drawings invite intense observation and inspire a fascinating reevaluation of abstraction.
