Gigi Comolli (1893-1976) - Lago montano

Gigi Comolli (1893–1976), born in Milan, can be considered a self-taught artist despite attending art courses at the Brera Academy. He specializes in landscape painting, being fascinated by the Lombard tradition of the nineteenth century.
In his work, he aims to interpret the Lombard countryside, Ticino, or Lake Maggiore, capturing them with great sensitivity, preferably during twilight hours. He is also described as a painter of waters due to his attention to the depiction of streams, rivers, or lakes.
