Commemorative coin issued on the occasion of the centenary of the establishment of the bicameral parliamentary system in Sweden. On the obverse, there is a left-facing portrait of King Gustav VI Adolf, with realistic and sober features characteristic of the period, surrounded by the legend with his name and title as king of Sweden. The reverse features a very balanced symbolic composition, with a central cartouche commemorating the creation of the bicameral Riksdag in 1866, flanked by laurel branches symbolizing institutional stability and democratic continuity, with the face value '5 Kr' highlighted at the bottom. The coin is struck in silver, with a classical aesthetic and high-quality engraving, representative of mid-20th-century Swedish commemorative numismatics.
