Auguste Donnay’s Artémis from 1897 is a lithograph on wove paper in the Art Nouveau style, with a sheet size of 40.5 × 30 cm and good condition aside from minor handling creases and small tears on the left border.

Lithograph on wove paper.
Signed on the plate lower right margin.
L'Estampe Moderne's blind stamp on the bottom right corner.
Dimensions:
+Size of the sheet: 40.5 x 30 cm / 15,9 x 11,8 in.
Condition: In overall good condition, with some soft handling creases and some minor tears on the left border margin. Image very clean with bright and vivid colors. Not framed.
Issued from the famous set « L’ Estampe Moderne ».
Published by Masson & Piazza, Paris.
Not unlike the Maitre de L'Affiche series, L'Estampe Moderne was a portfolio printed between 1897-99, published by Imprimerie Champenois, Paris, contained 24 monthly portfolios, with four original lithographs in each. Each was commissioned only for this series.
As well as Mucha, some of the contributing artists included Rhead, Meunier, Ibels, Steinlen, Willette and Grasset.
