Description from the seller

Model: Pelikan Souverän M400 "Old Style"
Production period: approx. 1982–1997 (vintage classic)
Color: Deep Black (Noble Resin) with gilded fittings
Nib: Original 14K-585 gold nib in line width B
Special feature: sought-after vintage nib with noticeable flex (much softer than modern nibs)
Filling system: classic piston filler
Condition & Description:
For sale is a superbly preserved Pelikan M400 from the coveted 'Old Style' era. With a length of approximately 12.5 cm, it adheres to the classic format of the original model from the 1950s.
Writing characteristic: The 14-karat gold nib from the 1980s/1990s is legendary for its elasticity. In contrast to today’s more rigid nibs, this M nib offers a wonderful flex that gives your handwriting a distinctive character.
Appearance: The fountain pen is finished in elegant black. It features the era's characteristic dark green, transparent ink window, through which you can perfectly monitor the ink level.
Details: The cap displays the Pelikan logo embossed on the flat top (Old Style). The cap band bears the engraving "Pelikan Germany" (No jeweled ring on the filling grip, which underscores the simple, classic design).
Technique: The piston mechanism has been tested, is smooth-running, and pulls ink up perfectly. The device has been ultrasonically cleaned.
Measurements & Data
Closed length: 12.5 cm
Length with cap on: 14.6 cm
Weight: about 15 g (pleasantly light for long writing)
