Description from the seller

Rare collectible enameled cast iron casserole – ST Trond (Brussels) – Autumn floral pattern
The foundry disappeared in the 1970s.

I propose this rare enameled cast-iron casserole, intended for both discerning enthusiasts and tableware collectors. It is distinguished by its white enamelled base and its autumn floral motif, echoed decoratively on the lid, giving the whole piece a strong and refined aesthetic identity.
This model is among the last produced by the foundry in the 1950s/60s. The ST Trond company marked their piece FE Belgium, which is the case on this casserole under it (see photos).

This piece comes from the productions of the ST Trond company, a Brussels house founded in the 1920s and disappeared around 1970. Renowned for the finesse of its enamels, the quality of its casting, and the innovative and practical nature of its creations, ST Trond has left a heritage today sought after and increasingly rare on the market.

Features
Length: 31 cm
Diameter: 26 cm
Height with lid: 14 cm
Height of the tank: 10 cm
Weight: 4 kg

State
Very good condition of preservation (a few traces to be regretted; see photos)
Bright white enamel, well-preserved autumn floral decoration.
Sound cast iron, tight-fitting lid.
A remarkable piece, both aesthetically and heritage-wise.

Culinary and Aesthetic Qualities
Beyond its collectible appeal, this Dutch oven preserves all the culinary qualities of enameled cast iron: excellent thermal inertia, uniform heat diffusion and slow release, ideal for stews, braised dishes, or traditional recipes.

Its refined and balanced design also allows for direct serving at the table, making this casserole dish a true display object, straddling the line between a functional utensil and a decorative piece.
A piece of heritage value.

Due to the closure of the manufacturer and the quality of its productions, this Dutch oven holds a special value, enhanced by its condition and its decoration. It is part of the tradition of durable utensils, designed to withstand the test of time and be passed down from generation to generation, bearing culinary and family memories.

Careful and protective shipping.
A rare piece, ideal for a collection, prudent use, or enhancement of patrimonial value.
Kind regards
