Description from the seller
Pedestal pie stand in amber honey-orange tinted pressed glass (warm and translucent color), unknown origin, unsigned (probably Pavilion model from the Luxval series by Val Saint Lambert, Belgium, 1930s, Art Deco style).
Features :
Total height: 12.5 cm
- Upper diameter (plateau): 32.5 cm
- Weight: 1600 g
- Shape: a wide and generous plateau with a scalloped edge (wavy with many rounded lobes), a low conical flared molded foot with a stable round base. Smooth, glossy surface, a subtle radiating central motif at the bottom (a slight rosette or sun mold). Uniform honey-amber color with subtle iridescent reflections depending on the light.
Condition: good – brightness and transparency intact, no chipping, crack, or fracture visible; a few scratches (superficial micro-scratches or traces of use on the interior bottom, barely visible and without major impact); slight signs normal for age. No discoloration or opacification; one scratch on the inner face.
Imposing piece by its exceptional diameter (32.5 cm) and substantial weight, perfectly suited as a tart dish, cake stand, or decorative centerpiece. The deep honey amber hue and the wide, festooned edge make it an elegant, rare, and functional object, ideal for collectors of vintage Belgian stained glass, Luxval series, or enthusiasts of colorful and sculptural Art Deco serving dishes.
Careful shipment.
