This Belle de Jour Wallet on Chain by Yves Saint Laurent represents an iconic era of the house, created during the late Yves Saint Laurent period, shortly before the brand’s transition to “Saint Laurent Paris.”

The Belle de Jour line was introduced in the late 2000s, a time when Stefano Pilati served as Creative Director (2004–2012). Pilati’s tenure is now widely recognized as a highly collectible chapter of the brand’s history, bridging classic YSL elegance with a modern, architectural aesthetic.

This piece is crafted from metallic silver cracked (distressed) leather, a finish that was produced in limited seasonal runs and is significantly rarer than standard smooth leather versions. The surface shows a natural, intentional distressed texture, characteristic of YSL designs from this period and not a sign of wear.
