Important antique cornice made of solid wood, finely hand-carved and decorated with rich phytomorphic motifs and late 19th-century-style scrolls. The carving features pierced elements that give visual lightness and great refinement to the overall piece.
The surface is adorned with original gold leaf gilding, now characterized by an intense and aged patina, with natural oxidation, abrasions, and color variations that attest to its authenticity and historical charm. The structure features elaborate moldings and a decorated inner beading, designed to enhance paintings, prints, or mirrors.
