Description from the seller
Large Antique Stained Glass Heraldic Panel with Lion – ca. 1900–1920
In excellent condition – No reserve.
A powerful and highly atmospheric large stained-glass panel featuring a heraldic lion rampant, proudly displayed within a central oval cartouche. Executed in deep ruby red, luminous emerald green, and warm amber-yellow textured glass, this panel immediately commands attention.
When sunlight passes through the glass, the panel truly comes alive: the colours ignite and spill softly into the surrounding space, casting a constantly shifting mosaic of warm and vibrant hues. The textured antique glass subtly refracts the light, creating a poetic play of sparkle, depth, and movement that changes with the hour of the day—an effect that simply cannot be replicated by modern glass.
