Description from the seller
Production 1976 to 1881
Dimensions : 700mm X 280mm X 350mm
Weight: 21.8 kg
Nominal impedance: 8 ohms
Frequency response: 40 to 30,000 Hz -3 dB
Resonance system: 28 Hz mechanical reflex
Dividing Frequencies : 45 Hz and 3500 Hz
These speakers have been fully restored.
All of the filter capacitors have been replaced with high-quality, well-made models that were specially selected for their audio characteristics.
The original terminal block has been kept to avoid altering the visual appearance of the enclosure, but the connectors allow a simplified connection with much better current connectors such as banana plugs, fork connectors, bare, stripped wires, obviously while preserving the ability to connect the speakers with the old DYN DIN plugs.
The woodwork has been finely sanded to receive several coats of OSMO hard-wax oil, interspersed with a shading effect on the edges.
The front and rear surfaces have been given two coats of satin paint beforehand.
These speakers are a much more fully developed evolution and replaced the Kef Cadenza and Kef 104B through the mid-1970s.
The sound is magnificent, with very high intelligibility and no harshness, with enveloping bass.
They certainly sound better than the same pair did when new 45 years ago.
To be paired with very fine amplifiers and excellent electronics to bring out their full quintessence.
