Description from the seller
This chandelier is a refined example of Italian design from the 1960s-1970s, attributed to Vistosi, a historic Murano glassworks. The structure, made of chrome-plated metal with slight signs of rust, supports 24 elements in artistic glass, shaped into drops and characterized by a particular craftsmanship: the opaline surface is interrupted by transparent lenticular details, creating a suggestive play of solids and voids.
The light coming from the five internal luminous points (E14 socket) diffuses through the frosted glass, while the round, transparent, and smooth openings refract and multiply the glows, creating a dynamic chiaroscuro and reflection effect. This balance between opaline glass and transparency reveals a clear experimental intent in the search for new aesthetic and luminous solutions, typical of Murano design of that era.
The result is a visually striking object, suspended between sculpture and functionality, that best expresses Italian glass art in combining elegance, craftsmanship, and innovation.
Dimensions:
H with a 105 cm chain
H without chain, 45 cm.
Diameter 45 cm.
Vetri No. 24
Each glass measures: H 19, width 14 cm, and glass thickness 7 mm.
