Description from the seller
In “Casa Adentro” I work with the idea of the house as an interior space, more than as a physical structure. For me, the house is identity, memory, and cultural root; it is everything one carries with them when they move, when they emigrate, when they change territory. This work alludes to that deep interiority where memories, family, and accumulated experience reside. The house thus becomes a personal sanctuary, a symbolic place from which one recognizes and asserts themselves, even far from the origin. It is a metaphysical reflection on the home understood as a state of being, as an intimate core that remains even when the surroundings transform.
I place this house in a garden because I conceive the landscape as an itinerant scene, a space of constant transit that represents life itself. The garden, built from gesture, color, and repetition, alludes to movement, the passage of time, and the different stages we go through. In front of that changing landscape, the house remains as a solid interior presence, accompanying the individual on their journey. “Casa Adentro” is, in essence, a journey toward oneself: a work that speaks of displacement and permanence at the same time, where home is not a place one returns to, but a space one carries inside.
