Antonio Nunziante was born in Naples on September 26, 1956. After earning a secondary school diploma in Art, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts for two years. In 1975, after completing restoration techniques training in Florence, he returned to Turin. He visited Italian and international museums, particularly engaging with the works of Rembrandt and Vermeer. As Italian public interest in his painting began to grow, in 1983 he had the opportunity to gain recognition in the United States with an exhibition at the Artexpo in Los Angeles and New York. In 1985, he exhibited in Spello alongside Pietro Annigoni. This period was marked by research and experimentation through conceptual works signed under pseudonyms Rascal Babaloo. He participated in the Bergamo Biennale between 1986 and 1990. Exhibitions at the Yonemara Country Club in Tokyo in 1990 and at the New York Artexpo in 1991 gave Nunziante international visibility.
