In 1978 BMW broadened the line of boxer engines with the introduction of the R45 and R65, with the R65 initially delivering 45 hp and, from 1980, 50 hp. In appearance they were a smaller variant of the regular models; otherwise they used identical parts but with a more modern look.
In the later years of production, BMW also released the R65LS onto the market. It featured a modified front fairing and pillion seat, a matte-black exhaust system, and dual disc brakes.
This BMW R65LS has been fully restored with new paintwork, new tires, and it still has the original exhaust.
In short, a particularly beautiful specimen.
