Description from the seller
EGYPT. 1 Qirsh. AH 1293/29. Abdul Hamid II (1876-1909)
- Value: 1 Qirsh.
- Reign: Abdul Hamid II (1876-1909).
- Year: AH 1293/29.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: the tughra of Sultan Abdul Hamid II at the center, surrounded by a vegetal crown made up of stylized branches and stars. Reverse: inscription in Arabic with the face value and the Islamic date, framed by a laurel crown.
- Grade: UNC Details (NGC).
1 Qirsh silver coin minted for Egypt during the Ottoman period under the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II, corresponding to year 29 of his reign. It features a typically Ottoman design, with the imperial tughra finely traced on the obverse, with elegant lines and a balanced composition, surrounded by well-defined vegetal elements. The reverse bears the Arabic inscriptions with the denomination and date, framed by a symmetric crown in a classic Oriental style. The specimen retains complete and crisp reliefs, with broad fields and good overall detail; however, there is evidence of prior cleaning, noticeable in the texture of the fields and the altered luster, which is why it receives an Uncirculated Details grade, maintaining a solid and attractive visual presence.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to make it absolutely clear that I ship from Spain. This means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has a special tax agreement (for example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs, and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and is completely out of our control. Thank you for your understanding.
