Austria, Vienna, silver 2 Schilling commemorative coin for Franz Schubert, 1928, graded MS62 by NGC.
Description from the seller
AUSTRIA. Vienna. 2 Schilling. 1928.
Valor: 2 Schilling.
- Year: 1928.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: FRANZ SCHUBERT with bust to the left and the engraver's signature G. Jenner, date 1928 in the exergo. Reverse: REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH · 2 SCHILLING surrounded by nine provincial heraldic shields.
- Grade: MS62 (NGC).
A commemorative silver coin dedicated to composer Franz Schubert, with a left-profile portrait of pronounced realism, good modeling of the hair and a sober expression, typical of Central European interwar numismatic sculpture. The reverse features a carefully circular composition of the coats of arms of the Austrian provinces around the face value, with well-defined reliefs and balanced distribution. The specimen preserves original luster, partially satin, with a light patina and some fine surface marks on fields and reliefs in keeping with its grade, maintaining an attractive and uniform appearance.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to make it absolutely clear that I ship from Spain. This means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has a special tax agreement (for example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs, and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and is completely out of our control. Thank you for your understanding.
