Description from the seller
A0000003182
The pen is in very good condition, appropriate for its age, showing moderate and genuine signs of use, typical of a well-cared-for vintage piece.
The black resin body retains an excellent overall shine, with light surface marks visible only upon close inspection or under direct light. No cracks, fissures, or deformations are observed. The “MONTBLANC” engravings and the model marking “442” remain well defined and legible.
The brushed steel cap is in very good condition, properly preserving the satin finish. It shows micro signs of use characteristic of the material and the passage of time, with no deep dents or dings. The gold-plated clip is straight and firm, with light and uniform wear, without any material loss.
The gold-plated elements (the central ring and the end pieces) show a natural, uniform patina, consistent with the piece’s age, with no corrosion or structural damage.
The original Montblanc nib in solid 14-karat gold (14K) is in very good condition, with proper alignment and an intact tip. It shows normal wear from use, compatible with smooth, steady, and reliable writing. The feed is clean and well adjusted.
The Montblanc emblem on the cap is complete, well-centered, and without any missing parts.
Overall, it is an original pen, well preserved and fully functional, suitable both for high-quality daily writing and for collection, with a condition that is especially attractive to the vintage fountain pen market.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
