Antique oval frame – late Art Nouveau, ca. 1900–1920

Elegant oval frame from the early 20th century, crafted in wood with refined sculpted relief and original gilded finish. The decoration consists of stylized shell and fan motifs, typical of the late Art Nouveau and early Art Deco period, in which flowing lines and rhythmic ornamentation were central.

The frame shows a beautiful, authentic patina and light signs of aging, appropriate to its age and use. Small restoration on the right side, see photo 5. The rear confirms a traditional, artisanal construction without modern materials, indicating high-quality workshop craftsmanship.

Excellent for a portrait, symbolic work, academic study, or early 20th-century painting. Also, on its own, a decorative and characterful object.
