About the artist:
Harry van Dam (born 1937 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch self-taught painter who has been active since around 1973. He is known for his Dutch landscapes in a style related to the Hague School. His favorite subjects are polder landscapes with windmills, moats, cattle and especially water—the kind of scenery that also inspired the Hague School painters. Van Dam's works are well known and highly valued by many art dealers in the Netherlands, and by collectors of traditional Dutch landscape art.
Description of work:
This painting depicts a typical Dutch water landscape, with a sailing boat in the foreground and moored boats by a farm with a red roof on the right. The church tower in the distance and the expansive, cloud-filled sky enhance the atmosphere of the Dutch polder landscape. The artist has, with his characteristic brushstroke, beautifully captured the reflections on the water and the changing skies.
Condition
The painting is in good condition. The paint shows no significant craquelure or damage. Take a good look at the photos for the current state yourself. The work is offered with a classic wooden frame with a silver/champagne-colored finish.
List:
Classic wooden decorative molding with an inner bead, in good condition.

The painting will be shipped framed, carefully packaged to prevent transport damage. The package will also be sent insured.
